Hi ladies.
This piece is being written on our leather lounge chair, the backs of my thighs are stuck to the chair, I have sweat running between my boobs, down the back of my neck, there is a coffee on the coffee table and the dog is drooling and panting all over our wooden floors. I have been following him around most of the day with a wet wipe to clean the floor, I have tried to keep him downstairs, he has zero regard for my wishes.
Actually, I need to google the “meaning of animals invading your home”.
Scott rescued a bird from work before Christmas, we are not friends. I can often be heard screaming as I walk down the back stairs and find it glaring at me from Tom’s bike tyre parked near the back door. I was washing the work clothes on Monday night and as the censor light flicked off, it illuminated again just as quickly as I walked away from the washing machine. The bird flew at me from the bike tyre to the cement laundry tubs we have. I screamed, no one heard me. Scott had noise cancelling headphones on watching a movie, Jack was at the gym and Tom was at his weekly sushi night with his friends. Motherfucker came out of my mouth with such violence, our dog came to my rescue and escorted me up the stairs – this was the same night I went to bed partially traumatised by the tawny frog mouth and Scott regaled me with a hunting tale the next morning when a possum came through our kitchen window. Scott went in one door to see what the noise was, the possum ran through the side door, past the dog and into the office where the dog caught the possum under my desk. This is the same night Scott took scraps to the chickens and found a carpet snake eating our eggs.
This morning just as I was pressing end on a 1:1 mentoring zoom call, a chicken walked into my office with the dog hot on it’s tale and licking his lips. Again birds and I do not get a long, the dog was barking, I was yelling, the chicken was clucking. The dog was herding the chicken around our lounge room while I was getting the broom to sweep it out of the door, and down the stairs.
It is one million degrees here with about the same humidity, I have the windows partially closed because who knows what will come into my house next. I do not know what is happening, but I am ready to move out.
Have a beautiful evening.
Love
Melinda

I'd want to move house too, lol.
Wow, you have so many wild animals around. Keep your eyes wide open. xx
