How loud should I speak?
Good morning,
How are you? It has been six weeks since I wrote to you.
I have been creating each day photos for my first 365, I am on day 62. I have learnt that I don’t care if the photos are aesthetically pleasing to Instagram and I am not at all worried about how random the photos are, they show me what is important to me on that day. Since starting the 365 my analytics of reach and engagement for Instagram is in the minus, not even 6% of my audience is seeing the photos which offers me a sense of freedom because literally no one is seeing what I create.
What I am concentrating on is showing up for myself and my creative practice every single day, I am curious about what the photo of the day will be. I whisper each morning - show me todays photo, I let it go and see what happens, what my eye is drawn to, how long I spend on the photo - sometimes it is one images, other days it has been a whole photo session.
What is the question I am answering for myself that day?
What do I love about the photo?
What makes me want to delete the photo?
I have also been creating a PODCAST with Chloe Lodge - CONVERSATIONS FROM THE GAP.
Chloe and I are in conversation for 30 minutes about topics of photography, women in business, creativity, motherhood.
We named the podcast Conversations from the gap as we feel there are so many gaps in conversation that do not get talked about in broader circles, and we want to have those conversations with a wide audience, we want to expand conversation topics and also explore deeply topics for ourselves to learn and grow from. We have kept the episodes to 30 minutes firstly because it is not an obnoxiously long period of time, it sets barriers for us to refine and be potent in what we are talking about and not waffling on, and it allows it to be sustainable for us and our audience to create and listen to. Because honestly when Chloe and I get together in conversation we can easily talk for hours.

I am still creating new offers for mentoring sessions for the start of 2024.
There will be varied times, and price points for next year. I so deeply loved my mentoring sessions with women photographers this year and I want to expand on the fabulous opportunity they provide - for the client and for me.
ONE MASSIVE win was having 3 clients with me for 12 months and seeing where they started and what they achieved within the 12 months of weekly/fortnightly conversations of accountability, brainstorming, setting goals, creating actions steps, understanding they have a sounding board, and someone that supports them, cheers them on, asks hard, thoughtful questions.
Photography sessions will also feature heavily for me next year - motherhood and women in business.
I want to be capturing the essence of motherhood and the strength of women in business, I believe in illuminating the often overlooked roles women play. I want to immortalize the multifaceted journey of mothers nurturing their children - of all ages, and women shaping businesses. I see women as the ultimate creators, and I hope my photography serves as a powerful tribute to women’s resilience, beauty and contributions. I will be capturing images that reflect daily challenges and triumphs of women, highlight their presence and offer acknowledgment of their importance in the intricate tapestry of their world. I want the photos to become a mirror. Reflecting back to women their significance, validating their roles, and affirming the profound impact they make in both family and professional lives.
I am doubling down on the promise I made to myself of creating a business from only the things I LOVE.
