Friday reflection.

Happy Friday, 17 February 2023

Upon reflection of the week that was, and the conversations I have had with clients, and women photographers who are dear friends who I am able to dive into meaningful conversations with no effort; the theme of the week has been:

KNOWING your heart, knowing what you stand for, knowing your why and letting that lead you, trusting yourself even just the tiniest bit to feel connection and understanding that everything you create is a reflection of you. Doing the internal work in your heart and mind, asking your self-questions that will have you on the shower floor, or acknowledging part of you that grounds you down into taking the next step. Knowing and trusting the choices you make are leading you to something you are proud of. Setting your sight on something and going into the arena to get it.

I know, I repeat the same thing here and, on my Instagram, knowing your why, knowing your heart.

There is no deeper work than getting to know yourself. That is the work of our life, knowing our heart and intuition to be led intuitively and to be who you truly are.

When you know yourself and know why your life, art, family, business looks like it does; you take responsibility for the choices you have made to get there.

Have you done the work and is this creation all your heart?

Have you stood on someone else’s back to create what you have?

Can you follow the choices back in integrity to where it all began and see the reflection of your heart in what you have created?

Where are you making excuses in the choices you make to justify your results?

Have a deep look at your art – what does it say about you? Not just the creative artistic view but as a woman, what are the themes?

How does your art show what is important to you?

Can you see your personality, your story in your art?
